fly problems

last year my horse, around june/july/august got absolutley covered in small swelling (from fly bites) which after a while turned to scabs and scuff...this was a nightmare for grooming as they only fully disappeared after 3months of hibiscrubbing and pickling them all off!! and was horrible for shows as he looked terrible! i really DONT want this again this summer! any advice??

my pony started to get like that at the beginning of the summer last year, i put garlic in his feeds and that helped alot! worth a shot!

Mine got this too. I used Nettex salve, and it cleared them up very quickly.
