Fly rug - chunky horse

Hello. Any recommendations - she’s CBxISH so not mega chunky. Fly rugs seem a bit tight on her neck and too narrow for her chest...
Just bought a zebra one so may attempt some alterations with an old rug...

For my rather solidly built (but not fat) Shire x Tb, I find that the 'Shires' fly rugs fit well, especially on her neck. I'd go up a size from normal though, for the length. The Amigo Aussie Allrounders (I think that's what they are called) are also good.

My chunk of a Welsh cob has Horseware rugs and nothing else. He is currently in an Amigo Aussie Allrounder and it fits him as nicely as any rug will. The Rambo sweet itch hoody also fits him well, but I thought I would try the Aussie this year (he does actually have sweet itch so needs a rug on). Last year I tried the Bucas sweet itch zebra rug and it was such an awful fit around his chest and shoulders - extremely tight and the breast strap was positioned so high up it was digging into his throat. I just find that with the Horseware rugs (and their turnouts) that they sit up much higher over the withers and round the neck. Some rugs I have tried on him are cut back so that they sit more towards the withers and they then pull on the chest and shoulders.

Are Rambo much better than Amigo? Pondering a lightweight. I’ve ordered the Amigo XL bug rug for her, so will see how that fits. (Hopefully she’s not offended by the XL!!)

This is Blue in her Amigo XL. It's still a little big tight over her shoulders but she is a tank. My main issue with it is that it doesn't have a belly flap, but I picked it up second-hand so am still investigating other options.

Big horse shop are fabulous, you might need to go down a size though.

he's had a normal amigo in the past but it definitely pulls on shoulders and then the lining would go very quickly, suits the skinny shouldered anglo very well.

He's usually a 6"9, but they recommended a 7ft, just to give him as much room as possible

Does the neck stay up? I've got my WB in a PE Multibuster as he HATES the horse flies but it is quite thick when its warm. It's a shame as it fits him really well and has good neck coverage.
