I'm going ot have to bite the bullet and buy a fly sheet. My girl is coming in with bites all over her body, they aren't huge but she's obviously getting annoyed by something!

So recommendations welcome, I've only every had one fly sheet before and that was a rambo one when they first came out, my WB trashed it in about 3 week

there are loads of previous posts about this, i trawled through them all before making my decision (which was an Rambo Sweetitch Hoody, which i'm delighted with.)
MT ones have some fans, but others said their horses sweated in them.

Thanks the hoodie looks fab but she doesn't have sweet itch so I'm planning on buying a cheap fly sheet

Just looking at the Mark Todd one now, looks quite good and would hopefully not rub her mane!

I love the Mark Todd rug however it doesn't fit all horses well. Lovely if you have a fine horse such as a TB but it doesnt fit my ISH well at all. We bought her a rhinegold just to try because it was so cheap and it fits like a glove.

Does the Mark Todd have a belly flap, I can't see one in the description/pic. My girl is an Arab so she should be fine, only rugs that don't fit her are fals as she's too little!

Will check out the Rhinegold and Weather beata too though, I'm going for cheap and cheerful as this is not rug buying season for my bank balance!

I got the derby house one was only £25 as its half price at the moment, and comes with a mask too. Lovely long neck that has ear holes and big belly flap, and a long tail flat (right down to hocks). Not seen Ronan looking so relaxed in the field since he's been wearing it, and he's managed not to trash it yet!

Hi,
Would def recommend the derby house one too, other halfs mare has one and I think it's absolutly brilliant value for money, a really nice rug. Seems good quality, a tummy flap (with nice elasticated fastenings) and elasticated lag straps. My girl has one of the cheaper rambo ones (£35) which is really good, but I think the derby house one is better - I'm after buying oone now if they have her size!

a shame that it seems to have gone up. I have heard that derby house do a 'wednesday madness' thing on their website which gives you a discount if you buy online on a wednesday - can any one shed some light on this?
Must admit that I still think its a fab rug for the price, I think you would have to spend lots more on a different brand to get the same quality. It also comes with a face mask, though I must admit that the one that came with the 6'9'' rug was huge! Too big to be used unfortunatly.

yes Deby House do a midweek madness, just check the "sale" section of their website on a wednesday however if their fly rug has already been on offer it might be quite a while before it is back on offer. Derby House rugs are always good quality at a bargain price.

Another thumbs up for the derby house one. I think its one of the best weve tried and great for the price, there arent to many you can get for under 35quid and the ones you can are often made of really crap material. Its done my little lad 2 years and he really tries them out. They offer great protection and they just seem to fit well although if you have a horse with a chunky neck i would go up a size.

I have just bought the Mark Todd combos - they have a belly pad and also elasticated at wither so the neck doesnt move when they put their heads down to graze.

They were £40 each from an ebay shop - pm if you want the name (dont want to advertise).
