Hi

As title really - we have never bought one before, but one of the horses is being eaten by flies. We have tried on an Amigo and a Saxon, but they both seem to be designed for the narrower chested horse.

This mare doesn't have a particularly big shoulder and chest, but both brands are far too tight around that area.

Any brand recommendations gratefully accepted. :)

Ive got a chunky 14.3hh irish cob with fairly broad shoulders, short coupled back and a big bum. We find Weatherbeeta rugs are great. They are nice and roomy, but not too roomy and most importantly dont slip. They also fit our wb/tb who has a huge powerful rear end and a slim front (looks good though it sounds odd), who is 15.1hh. Mind you, they are both rug rippers, but that is another story.

I have a welsh cob and an Amigo. Which is not very good. I find it pulls back and is always tight over his chest and shoulders. Now he doesn't wear it!! However, Weatherbeeta rugs are always fab on him - just haven't tried the fly rug.

I don't have a coblet I'm afraid but I also recomend the Mark Todd one. Absolutely the best fly rug I've ever had. Maximum coverage, no rubs and all the mane left in even after 24hr turnout all summer :)

My big-fronted warmblood x (and he really is chunky, you could drive a bus between his front legs) seems to fit in ok of thats any help.
