My grey has just been diagnosed with a melanoma so looking to get him the best fly rug out there.

Found the Rambo hood fly/sweet itch at at great price but wondered if it might be too heavy for summer and is it more for sweet itch?

Also like the Amigo Evolution...or any other recommendations?

I’m a fan of PE superlites for warmer weather. Sadly they no longer have belly flaps which I just don’t understand the reason for!
They are about the lightest coolest I’ve found so far.

The Amigo Evolution is nice, but the one I bought for my horse came in with huge rips after the first day ? I went back to the Rambo Protector since it is more durable.

However, if you get an Evolution at a good price, might be worth a try! It's the only clothing that I've ever had rip on him, but it's possible it was bad luck! I've been satisfied with the Rambo Protector thus far. I like a removable neck option too.

I use an Aussie all rounders too, it is a bit thick for very very warm days, but it's still in one piece which is the main thing ??
