Can anyone please recommend a fly rug which will fit a horse with wide shoulders. Rugs i have tried in the past have rubbed and i have given up and resorted to fly sprays which don't really work.

You haven't told us which brands you have used..
However the Big Horse Shop or Premier Equine are usually good for wide shoulders.

I don't know anything about fly rugs but my wide shouldered cob x for turn outs gets on with mark Todd really well.

I have a shire in a weatherbeeta ripshield fly rug, the rainbow/pink one. A similar one is available in grey. The fabric is not clingy so doesn't rub and is a generous fit.
