Fly rugs in the rain

Do you leave your fly rug wearers out in the pouring rain?

My horse has managed to rip the strap off his waterproof fly rug so is wearing his normal one until its repaired. Its chucking it down (when will it stop ) and im not sure about leaving him out in it

Dont think its too much of a problem if its warm, they dry in no time.
