I have been looking at buying another fly rug for my youngster as he has now outgrown it but with so many on the market im not sure which one to go for? My boss uses the amigo bug rug which is a far softer material than mine was and the horses dont seem to sweat under these! Anyone recommend a good one as i need to buy one this weekend also fly mask? Thanks

Ive got a weatherbeeta soft mesh one, has lasted a couple of years now and was about £40. Not much point buying an expensive one for a youngster!

My Amigo Bug Rug has been one of my all-time best buys for my horse. I also have the waterproof undersheet for it and together they offer a very versatile package.

i have an amigo bug rug for my young horse, and it has been very good. no complaints so far, and reasonably priced

Hi i just bought the MT flyrug and have been really really happy with it. Has a stretchy neck so doesn't get fixed on their shoulders and covers the belly. I think this one fits really really well and i think are about £50. He also didn't sweat in it at all when we had those few weeks of tropical weather (?!) and I have washed it a few times and still looks like new and hasn't got a mark or tear on it. would definitely buy again.

I use Premier equine international's sweet itch rug - does not rub my very wide cob at all, and is very robust. Also, it makes her coat really shiny - a lot of the cotton / mesh ones catch her coat and drive her insane. Money well spent.
