I know it's early but I'm going to be prepared this summer!

Currently looking at two rambo ones, a rambo protector and a rambo flybuster plus? Anyone know the difference and which is the best?

What do you guys recommend? Anyother makes worth it?

I've got the protector fly rugs as they are made of much tougher material than the flybusters. I find with my two big horses, the thinner material gets ripped, whereas the flybusters are still in one piece. If you have a problem with sweetich, the only really good rug is still the Boett.

Ive got the Rambo green Flybuster ones and they are great. Didnt like the weatherbeeta soft mesh combos as the neck cover fell down and kinda strangled her. Masta ones are ok. Do like the Mark Todd ones aswell

My mare has a long neck, high withers and deep barrel, nothing fitted her so stumped up for a Boett - Best choice I ever made. Takes some practice getting it on, but it is still pristine after being used every day from june until turnouts went on in November.

I bought one complete with neck cover from Premier Equine International last year. It has been great & washes up really well & was at a very reasonable price. They haven't got asny on their site at the moment. I've emailed them asking if they're getting any in for the coming season.

So far I have tried...
Rambo dust buster (brilliant rug)
Wetherbeeta soft mesh combo- not that great
Masta mesh one- really not very good at all.
Aerborn - white midge rug which is a firmer mesh and really good, has a neck and belly flap- it was an old one tho which I don't think they do anymore

And of course the boett for SI but i'm guessing you just need a fly sheet

I have a protector - the same horse trashed a Weatherbeeta softmesh one and there isn't a single tear on the Protector! It's an odd triple thread mesh which according to horseware is ripstop so even if you get a little pull or tear the fabric stays meshed and doesn't unravel further. It doesn't slip and the neck stays up...

Have just bought a rambo protector and it looks to be better than the weatherbeeta I have for Cairo - but it is more expensive. I had no problems with the WB on Cairo. Main reason for the rambo for Stinker is the detachable neck so any signs of damage to the precious mane it can come off but his body is still protected.
