Hey, I‘m a new horse owner and was wondering what fly rugs are waterproof? I’ve seen a few that specified as being waterproof but are so expensive and was wondering if the ones that are made if polyester mesh are waterproof?

Do you need a waterproof fly rug?

I'm just asking because it's easy to buy the wrong things for your specific horse when the horse is new to you. Advertising makes you think that you *need all the stuff* but it isn't actually the case.
