Which ones are better for keeping a hot horse "coolish" when wearing on hot days? (apart from doing their primary job)

I certainly not going to spend £100 on a rug or buy a zebra print one either!

Horse is clipped (cushings) but still gets hot but he has been bitten alive so i would like to put a lightweigh type fly sheet on.

Thanks for any advice

I've got a real hot horse, despite being a mostly tb ISH he's regularly in a less than 100 g turnout in the winter and needs to be naked in the summer but the flies are so bad this year due to the flooding and mild winter that I've had to start using a fly rug.

So... I've got two, a premier equine buster one that makes him sweat and an amigo mio which is super light and slinky, even in the 26-27 degrees that we've had in the last couple of days there have been no sweat stains - so far I'm impressed, although it does have a few small snags in it, apparently these rugs don't enjoy blackberry bushes:biggrin3:

I love the shirse's sweetitch one. Rosies is in is 24/7 pretty much and shes never too hot. and its nice and cheap!

Mines in a Rambo sweetitch hoody 24/7 and is fine underneath rug. It fits well and he seems very happy in it. He doesn't have sweet itch but I hate seeing horse flies all over him and I'm also protecting his currently bald freezemark from the sun.
