I know it's only February, but I'm planning on getting fly sheets for three of our horses later this year and wondered if anyone had any recommendations as to manufacturer/design?
Two of them will be worn by youngsters (4 and 6 yo) so will need to be fairly robust!
Any advice gratefully received.

im not bothering this year, Blossy went throught 4 last year. Mine will both go out late in the evening for a couple of hours with fly hoods on. I never put them out in the heat of the summer during the day anyways.

however i would advise you go for a design with shoulder gussets and a detachable hood, as otherwise you could get mane and shoulder rubs.

The Horseware - Rambo Dustbuster Plus is fab! It's quite expensive but well worth it IMO.

I use the Rambo sweetich hoody. Amy doesn't have sweetich, but it's the best rug I've found to keep the flies off and is robust.

Im going for the Bucas one i *think* this year. It's pricey but looks pretty tough and im wanting one with UV protection (I have a grey).

Will follow this thread to see what others think

I have the rambo protector, really like it. I don't normally bother with fly rugs, but he got mild sweetitch last year, so had to. He wore it 24/7 and it didn't rub or anything.
