Fly Spray

I am sure there must be a post here about this but a bit to lazy to search

Can anyone recommend a fly spray that actually works, my horse is impossible to ride when the fly's are around. I was at a county show at the weekend and he bucked with the judge onboard

TWICE!!! because he had a fly on his back leg

Barrier super plus is very good and another that ive tried is the naff off deet. (balck bottle)
The flies are really bad this year, dont think anything is a hundred per cent, but these seem to be amongst the best

I use the Barrier super plus, and its great, seems really effective, smells nice and not too expensive either..

I use Phaser - it's good for 'normal' flys tho' the horseflys still land on him

Stinks awful - I can still smell it on my hands after putting some on them this morning

Car & day & martin extra strength has worked wonders for my black mare,she is very sensitive to the flys and will try and buck and take off with you if they get too much,she ran herself in to a tree last summer as she just can't take it! Poor thing has to go in the field top to tail in rug and mask.This stuff is great,i'm also going to try the new black one by Naf,it's not great for sensitive skinned horses but it is supposed to be very powerful so i' going to give it a go.

I went to my feed merchants in my lunch hour the other day and the selection was limited!!! anyway I bought the NAF one in the black bottle and it seems to work quite well.
