Fly threw his toys out of pram!

Got local show to go to so get Fly in and get ready. He is already being a pain in the a*** to say the least. He would not stand still and let me put travelling boots on so I didn't bother thinking show only 3 miles away. BIG MISTAKE. Go to load him and off he goes rearing again. (been going in first time up till now). He came down on the side of ramp and I saw a huge slice of skin on the ramp. He had taken it clean off the inside of his off fore. Immediately called vet and hosed it down. He had missed his suspensory ligament by 3 mm. 3 jabs later,bandaged up and on box rest for 2 days. Hope we have got away with it. Can you believe it, the first time I don't put travelling boots on

Oh I sorry to hear that, if its any consoluation(sp) I probably would have done the same, that is until I read your post, and now travel boots on all the time even if it takes me yonks to put them on him.
I wish Fly a speedy recovery.
