I am after a fly veil that you can use while riding. The only problem is that my horse has massive ears

.
I have bought the shires one, but the ears arent long enough and it makes it not fit quite snug enough. Does anyone else have this problem or know of any that have xl ears. No donkey jokes thanks.

Actually do they do donkey ones that I could shape down?

ive exactly the same problem...why not cut the ears off...not completely down to the veil part (or it will unreavel) but leave about a 1cm piece of ear part...and just let his ears pop through that...and he'll still look pretty in a veil.
i think your only other option might be a custom made one

Because I want it to protect her ears from the flies, not just to look pretty, but thanks for replying.
I suppose I could cut the top off and then add a bit

do her ears really get agitated because most horses dont actually need fly veils...flies cant keep up with a horse if there working, cantering or jumping....well generally.

It`s while walking round the fields that I could do with one as we get plagued by flies on some of our hacks. Also while waiting around at the shows.

Thanks Lillie07, but I am after the one that you can ride with, so the bridle can go over the top. The small ones made of cotton. But thank you for taking the time to write.

Had the same problem my mares ears are 81/2 inches i measured!

Keep looking there are ones out there with spandex ears so they fit anything, think they are equiline brand.
