I can't find one to fit my mare. I've tried lots of various makes and sizes belonging to friends who obviously have horses with normal shaped faces but none fit her. She has large eyes and very long eyelashes and the distance between eyes and ears is longer than average so all the veils I've tried squash her eyes which must be really uncomfortable for her. Anyone had this problem? I'd get one made but haven't a clue who could do it.

what kind of veil do you mean like ...

The full face one. That looks as if it may fit her. What make is it? Probably should have said fly mask instead of veil veil in my post! Thanks for your reply.

I have one of these, and my mare *still* gets it off!! She removes headcollars with the fly fringes on too.....I have to see flies round her eyes, and persevere with the mask, but most days it is off!!

that one is a cashel crusader its about £20 i think but i know they are quite tough also the shires ones are reat quite a big fit though! my conemarra with a big head ha to wear a pony size one :P the only problem is my pony rps them cos thier nice and soft

I have tried and bought a zillion fly masks to try and find one that stays on - i finally tried the shires on pictured above and it stays on despite several rolls. However, dont leave it on in the rain as it rubbed my horses face and she now has a sore patch so I am back to the rubbish masks until it heals. Still recommend them though, very generous over the eyes. Do rip quite easy as well - I think my mare generally tries her hardest to get them off!
