Fly veils

I put a fly veil on my horse that had padded ears. Luckily I had finished riding and was just about to get off when she shook her head and the whole bridle came off. Is there a solution to this please?

Use a traditional type fly fringe instead of a browband or use something like the Cashel quiet ride that goes over the bridle?

Do you mean the acoustic ear type that just over the ears under the bridle? I attach a fine cord to mine then tie it on under the throat.

Shires and Harrison Howard fly veils are fab they have velcro on the jaw & don't move

Do you have a photo of what you used OP. I am wondering how a bridle can come off from the horse shaking it's head? Something sounds wrong.

It's quite common for it to happen with the ear covers if they are not tied onto the horse.

Didn’t that happen to a pro show jumper mid round? I’m pretty sure his bridle fit.

I happened to me on more than one occasion and it's very worrying. It's one of the reasons I won't use the ones that fit under the bridle. The other is that I feel the thick knitted ones must alter the fit of the bridle somewhat.
