I’m sure I’ve seen that others on here do Flyball as well and I was wondering if anyone else is off to the outdoor champs next week?

It’s Fizz’s first champs (and it will only be her 5th open) so I’m glad we’re 6th dog! Fingers and toes are crossed she is on her best behaviour but we just never know with the diva

Running order out!! Mrs Spaniel's team seeded top of their section on Friday!
And it's live on YouTube! No pressure 😂

We’re racing Saturday....we’ve got someone with dogs in both teams and the teams are quite close together in different rings so could be interesting

Does that mean you know your start time?

Start times are always a gamble. We're 2nd division in our ring so I'm guessing for a 8.45/9am start
The rough running order is on the flyball forum and hopefully later in week they will fill details in.

We have two teams running Saturday as well - who do you run with?

Mrs Spaniel clearly knows what's happening. Last training session and she has shaved a second of of her season PB! Let's hope she does that next week! 🤞🤞

Great, will ask to be kept informed.

Dukes (Fizz is in Dukes Inbetweeners), she also knows what’s happening as she’s decided she can do box turns but now changeovers are terrifying :rolleyes3: she likes to scare us all before a comp but gets faster with every comp so fingers cross she continues that way. Only two more months and Dobby will be joining starters!

We have a team running in the division before you, same ring! Will keep an eye out for you We're the ball busters 😀 and Mrs Spaniel is running with ball Buster babies!

Bumping the thread to find out how people got on!
Annette I did try to look out for you but missed your team, hope it was a success!
We did so well - last time team were at champs was in 2009 so for at least half the team it was completely new experiences!
Mrs Spaniel and co came 3rd in div 37, we also got a 2nd in div 25, 6th in div 19. And our top team became div 8 Champions. :-) :-)

I was just about to do the same thing. Fizz’s team came 4th in Division 25. Fizz ran the best she ever has (rocket up the bum is the best description!) so well the two races we put her in we broke out by a country mile! Had we won our last race we could have been in with a chance of winning the division but it fell that we got our only 0.01 start all day and Fizz did her fastest time of the day when we were hoping she’d have tired :rolleyes3:

Our other team were runners up in Division 20 which was amazing to watch, they raced really well!

The most important thing for me is she coped perfectly with the atmosphere and covered lanes (how many dogs fall asleep outside the ring then go in to race their heart out and straight back to naps after racing)

Well done both. Pickle's old team mates did well gaining a first and a second, don't ask me about divisions. From the photos i've seen the party on Saturday night looked like good fun !
