after years of going to horse shows I am now horseless so to satisfy my competitive instincts I have taken up flyball.I went to a flyball tournament yesterday and it must have been the longest day I have ever had in my competitive career! Up at 4am as we had to be in Cheshire for 07.45.
The tournament was great. Our club had 4 teams. My dogs were in the starters and division 4.
The Starter dog (my 8 year old Lab)was 4th and the Div 4 team with my collie cross WON!!!!!
Home at 22.30!
On the way home we passed several horse boxes, obviously on their way home from events and it crossed my mind that at least when we got home we didn't have horses to feed, groom, make comfortable etc, just the dogs to hug and tell them how brilliant they are. (we had taken their dinner with us and fed them before we came home.)
Who cares about the long day. we all had such fun.
