Had a lovely day at the HOYS qualifier at the local show with the baby pony didnt go clear as had an couple of stops but her young jockey had a ball. Her rider has just turned 14 and has been riding her for about 6 months off and on The pony is a pocket rocket and not an easy ride I was very proud of the two of them as they had a nasty scare just before going in which knocked her young riders confidence

Lovely photographs of them both. Glad they enjoyed the event and sounds like confidence was restored. I wish my HiPo had a mane like that.

Wowzers - I love it! How old is pony? Mine is four, currently being backed, second time under saddle today and went out on short hack on her own...I'm incredibly proud :) Our Highland's rock!!

She is 7 was backed at 4 did a bit of showing etc then injured her shoulder in a fence being a houdini so we turned her away for just a year brought her back into work at Christmas and have been building up to this show since then. She won a One Day event a fortnight ago showing just how versatile these ponies are. Good luck with yours I hope you have many proud moments and many many years of happiness together.
This little mare is the daughter of the best pony in the world who we have owned since she was 20 months old She is 20 years old now and still the perfect if somewhat naughty pony she has always been. She has taught dozens of kids to ride and is mum to the wonderful pony in the photos, But like her daughter she can up the game and jumps does dressage and cross country, Pleasure rides and I can let my young non riding granddaughters ride her off lead while I do the jobs round the yard In fact she has been ridden by the youngest one off the lead since the little one was 4 years old
