Flys :-(

Hello all,

I have a 15.3 ID who is suffering really bad with the flys, I have been feeding her garlic since we got her last sep and it has made a huge difference as they don't seem to be biting her body to bad.

The problem I have are her ears they are all over them in side and out (like little bug like flys) they ate very sore and bluddy I clean them out daily and have been putting barrier cream in them, is there anything else I can do or put on them? I have a fly mask but it covers her whole face do they do an ear one that doesn't cover her eyes?

Have never seen an 'ear' only fly cover - you may have to buy a new full face mask with ears covers included - I have a good one made by Rambo.

whats so wrong with it covering her eyes? surely the flies will be irritating them too.

Have a browse on ebay.

Also look through the old threads for fly repellant, wiping that inside her ears may help.

Be careful wiping fly repellant inside the ears because the skin is usually thinner and with less hair there is more chance for irritation. You can make ear covers really easily
