yes definitely. I hope hes making progress even if its slow, its in the right direction.

When I arrived the surgant was striaght out to tell me sadly he'd studdenly got sever laminitis in all four late night/earlie morning. The toxins have cause the bone in his hoof alot of upset. He looked very uncomfortable struggling to stand and unable to move. Whats worse is his gut is working well now. Dermot was just about to start getting feed but now thats off. He seemed birght eyed and the nurse who is with him over night said he was doing really well till this. Its anouther compilation to a already complex very ill horse. I know what road the vets think we should take. We are still waiting grass sickness results. It's not looking to good right now.

Oh lord, how utterly heart renching

He really is going through the mill isnt he.

We all hope he pulls through this one...

Argh damn GS results, they seem to be taking forever.

Sh*t, I can' belive it. Oh lots of hugs FMN - and everything crossed for some glimmer of bloomin hope!!!!!!

I'm very sorry FMN. Fingers crossed here that he pulls through for you x

oh hugs hunny. im sorry to hear this news, i really hoped he was on the mend and that there wasnt going to any complications for you. Fingers crossed everything goes well for you

I'm so sorry to hear this FMN. If its any consolation, a horse which I ride got laminitis Novemeber 2005...he took a turn for the worse, started colicking with all the stress, tying up, getting cast, plus the laminitis got so bad the pedal bone had come straight through his hoof, they very nearly put him donw there an then. But they purservered(sp) and has now got the all clear and I went to take him on our first hack for 18months the other day (work called in though so I had to abandon it)

Just to say, there is always abit of hope, ok don't get your hopes up, but keep on fighting, some horses do get through this
