Foal at the stables..

On Monday evening a foal followed someone from the yard back from the riding woods. He's a lovely little colt about a year old and he's been in a little paddock at my stables since monday. I don't think anyone has phoned up stables looking for him. If any of you noticed a foal missing would you phone up local stables to see if anyone had seen him? Or just assume he was stolen? There are quite a few stables very close together so do you think the owner would think to ask around?

i would see if the police have had owners report there foal missing, or report it anyway just incase it has been stollen and it can be reunited with its owner.

Is it possible he's been dumped?

The riding school/yard owners are caring for it at the moment so I don't know if they've already done anything.

Yep, sorry a yearling..
It is possible it could have been but it's nice looking, very friendly and in good condition and has obviously had alot of handling and care put into it.

you have to contact the police and i'd also check local tackshops/feed merchants for lost and stolen notices.

you could also check to see if he has been microchipped! A vet should have a scanner and then the owner might be traced through NED
