100%. Trouble is, looking at her now, what will be written in the passport? Do you have to put bay then change it later?
Mine is down as chestnut/grey. She was born with grey goggles so it was easy to see that she was grey when she was passported as a foal.

RE the photo in post one, that is not a roan foal. Roans have dark heads (non-roaned), where as greys usually grey out on the head early on in the greying process especially around the eyes. I have added a photo that shows a bay roan foal and a chestnut roan dam and you can see how the head colour compares to your bay/grey foal.

Thanks. The only trouble with a freebie is it will be a while before we find out how tall she is going to be. Sire unknown. The mare we found out was in a mixed herd in Southern Ireland so was dad a Shetland, cob, irish draft or Connie. Only time will tell.
