Hello everyone!

I am new to this site and new to owning a baby, she came to me a couple of months ago!

She is a gypsy vanner cob black and white and she will be two in April!

She currently stands at 13.2/13.3 - how tall do you think she will get?

I have been told she could make 15hh but I am not sure

Also what would you be feeding her at present? she gets ad lib hay, alfa A, Mare foal and youngstock by DH, suregrow in her ball and then gets the NAF Mare foal and youngstock supplement

Thanks in advance

Have some fun with these http://www.ultimatehorsesite.com/info/stringtesting.html

I did method two with my filly when she was a week old and it still says the same at 11 months old. She is 13.3hh the test reads 15.1/2.

It is bang on for the few adult horses Ive measured too.

Also, save yourself a lot of money with feeding, you are over feeding supplements. Cut everything out bar the NAf mare and foal supplement in a handful of speedi beet with ad lib hay/grass. You'll cause her more problems over feeding her.

Best of luck with her :D

Hey
Thanks for this. The only probably my mare doesn't eat speedi beat or sugar beet :( she's not keen on the suregrow she only gets that in her ball! Could I just put on Alfa a and then naf supplement?

Its just very easy and fibre based, I would be inclined to get her used to the basics. My filly is on that diet and she is far from skinny, they really don't need much. As long as they get their vits and mins and ad lib hay/grass. Fibre is your friend! Ditch the mixes, she will quickly develop an appetite for beet, believe me!

With your current diet + spring grass she really will be doing too well. Especially if she's a typical cob!

Oh, pictures! :)
