Hi,
I currently have my eye on a colt, he is 6 months old, bred for dressage, which is what I would want and a really lovely looking little boy. I personally think he is well put together and he moves beautifully.
I know the people that bred him and have been to see him a few times.
A couple of months ago one of his front hooves started to grow a bit upright and boxy. He was taken off his mum incase he was taking too much from her and therefore growing too quickly. The farrier has been coming out weekly for the past month to trim him and to keep an eye. He is now wearing acrylic shoes with extra toe and the heal is being trimmed down. I haven't seen him since they have been put on but I've been told the farrier is really pleased with the progress and his feet are starting to look like a proper pair again.
If this comes right, is this something that would put you off?
