I know I asked earlier in the summer, but she's changing so much!
I don't know if she's "iron grey" or "appaloosa" but she's not an appy by breeding. She's now advertised on HHO but I'm really not sure which category she falls into being Belgian Warmblood on one side and spotted ISH on the other! Any suggestions? Should I stick to "grey":confused:

:) Sweet.

I wouldn't bother with the precise shade of iron, dapple, rose, steel or anything else, leave that for buyers to decide, stick to just 'grey' that is what she is now at the time of advertising and leave it at that. She'll probably grey out further, maybe with spots, maybe not, luck of the draw!

I always advertise a horse exactly as it is at the time of selling, I give breeding details, sire/dam height if known, anything else a potential buyer wants to know if I can, but no firm promises on colour/temperament/size, potential etc = no comebacks. :D

Hope you find a buyer for her.

The spots are a little misleading as she's not appy! I guess it's really about whether she is classified as appaloosa or as a spotted grey. It's also hard to choose between warmblood and ISH. I think she most closely resembles a donkey at the moment! Valid point re advertising as is - I have tried to do that as far as possible. But she is sweet ;) and friendly! Both parents were 16.1 and she was huge when born, so I think she should make 16+ - I think a vague indication of future size helps??
I would imagine she'll turn out like her mum who is 'white' with dapple grey legs and a few black spots on her bottom. No idea what that makes her in spotty terms, other than a bit cute ;)
I really do hope I find a good home for her - I had a buyer lined up all summer but they pulled out last week, which is really unhelpful

Hmmmm - you could just say Warmblood x ISH? She's not appy as that's a breed rather than a colour, my mare as a 2 year old was a rose grey with big white spots - passport etc just said rose grey.

She is gorgeous though, wonder if she'll fit in my chrimble stocking? :D

Cool Markings though ! ... Spotted Grey roan !! lol who knows My Mare was white with a black main and tails and black points when I bought her 18 years ago now a bog standard Flee bitten grey .... Gets more flea bites by the year !! The joys of greys .. I think your little one will grow allot lighter .. but Who know - Lovely looking horse though - good luck selling x

Thanks for your responses - yeah I see her as a grey blanket spot, and her mum and aunt are certainly still spotted so I guess she'll keep the spots - although my money is on her going white-grey with a spotted bottom like her mum..
Had 4 enquiries since advert went up yesterday afternoon and someone coming tuesday, so fingers crossed that I'll be able to find her a good home!
Does anyone else think think she looks rather like Morgan Freeman (the frizzy grey mane..) crossed with a donkey?!
She is such a sweetie though:):)
