A friend's filly foal was weaned this weekend. She's had her reserved since she was 2 months old; now just over 6 months old. She picked her up at the weekend as there were serious issues on the yard and she was concerned for the filly's safety. The filly is used to group turnout and has been put in with two young gelding who are very friendly and happy to have her - however she seems to be missing mum a bit too much and is frequently suckling on the boys' willies
... will this behaviour stop of its own accord or should she be worried? Is there anything she can do? The boys don't seem to mind!
