Whats the earliest age you can worm a foal and what foal wormers do you reccommend?

My mare is due her wormer round about now, we have been advised to use Pyratapo P Horse wormer, although she is due her tapeworm aswell. We have been advised to just double the dose of her Pyratopo P Horse wormer which will treat her for Tapeworm aswell. She is still feeding foal as he is only a few days old.
Has anybody used the double dose before on a mare while feeding her foal? If not, can any body recommend a wormer which is safe while feeding baby?

Guidelines from manufacturers are as follows:

Lactating mares yes to:
Equi-Max
Pyrantape and Strongid P
All Ivermectin wormers
Panacur
Telmin
Eqvalan Duo
Equest

Equest Pramox NO

Foals
2 weeks > Equi-Max
4 weeks > Pyrantape and Strongid P
6 weeks > All Ivermectin wormers + Panacur and Telmin
2 Mths > Eqvalan Duo
4 Mts > Equest
6 Mts > Equest Pramox

Equitape is not tested safe for lactating mares or foals

No problem, there are some contradictions in the sales blurbs but if you stick to this that's what the manufacturers say!!

we were lucky enough to have a foul earlier this year and we just signed up on Intelligent Worming and it has been brilliant so far, Misty is looking great and because they do not have an immune system in the first 12 months we have to use chemicals but I hope to move her onto a reduced chemical programme when she gets about 3 just as my other two are who are on only 1 worming treatment a year and 1WEC its fantastic, I definatly recommend Intelligent Worming to anyone.
