Foaling/Breeding Books

From Foal to Full Grown by Janet Lorch. Its an excellent book that goes through everything you need to know. From choosing the right stallion through to foaling and eventually the preparation for backing.

From Foal to Full Grown is excellent, also there is one called "From Birth to Backing"

Also a good vet book helps, well OK you might get paranoid and check "symptoms" every five mins but nice to have the back up! We have a copy of the A-Z of horses health and there is lots of stuff in there - what size the foal is as it develops and all sorts.

IMO the best book on the market - easy to read, good photos & diagrams, yet very informative, is "The Horse From Conception To Maturity", by Peter Rossdale - of Rossdales in Newmarket!!

I love how you got Newmarket in there, lol.

Thanks everyone will be buying a few books now, lol.

Have a good look on Amazon, usually get some good deals on there, or I think there is a site called the Book Depository? (sp?)
