Foaling disaster

So very sorry to hear you've had to suffer another tradgedy all over again Boss. My heart goes out to yourself, your sister and Lugs. I really hope she pulls through and do keep us updated. x x

Im sure there was someone on here a few days ago with an orphan foal, ive had a quick look but cant find it

. Sending lots of hugs and positive vibes that mummy makes a recovery - and that she can perhaps help some other little orphan foal so at least some good can come out of a bad situation.
 
What a horrible thing to have to experience - so so sorry for the loss of the foal and fingers crossed for the mare. Hope she recovers quickly.

Oh Boss you must be devistated, I can only imagine what you are all going through at the moment, I really hope that your mare pulls through, sending all the luck in the world to her and ((((HUGS))))) to you and your family x
 
Oh Boss so sorry to hear this.

The opposite has happened to my friend.
She lost her mare. She had started foaling around 4am in orchid we thing (sods law was of to the stud to foal that morning). When got up she had foal at foot. With intestines hanging down her back legs.
Huge foal but she was bleeding.
The vet rekons (knows after PM) she went down to hospital. That the foal somehow put it's leg through the uterus & then the rectum.
How on earth the foal managed to then retract it's leg to be foaled normally???
Unfortunately there was nothing they could do for Millie. Also foal is being hand reared as no mares were available at the time (foaling bank was contacted).

So everything crossed for your mare that she recovers well.
Hope you can get some sleep without dreams soon.
