foaling

hi my mare is 341 days in foal. shes been bagged up for the last 3 weeks and waxed up for the last 2 days. yesterday she started dripping milk it stopped earlier this afternoon. i just checked on her and she seem normal eating hay . and the milk has stopped , does any one no how near she is to foaling ( i gave up lol )

her back end is loose shes rubbing her back end shes been showing signs of foaling for the last two days. and when i go up there 2,3,4 in the morning shes happy as a lark . iam a experienced horse owner but this is my 1st foal and its driving me mad lol just starting to wonder if its goin to ever happen

have a look on rollestone foal cam and see if she's acting like those who are ready.

Been watching a few mares foaling and she is close to foaling with those signs, but also they can make you wait a week or two

My mare was running milk for the first time in the afternoon, foaled at 11pm so I would say it is imminent

My mare is now 3 weeks over and after speaking to a few other breeders in the area who all have had mares go a month over this year i am not too worried, another mare last year ran milk for 3 weeks, would wax up and then run milk then wax up again, i was shattered from getting up all night

well another day and still no foal. but the milk has stopped dripping . so in feeling lots better .thanks little donkey for your reply that has eased my mind a little.

forgot to say.. she is very loose at the vulva and at eatch side of the tailbone is like jelly and has been like this over a week. i have been reding up and all says they normally foal 24 hrs later. she is fully waxed up and her bag is huge. maybe its me just being impatient.
