Foals- the worlds most exciting thing!!

The most amazing thing today- one of the liveries at our yard has an expectant mare, and feeling her tummy today, you could feel the foal moving inside her!! It was the most amazing thing ever and I loved it! Anyone else expecting a foal soon??

No this year but my mare had a foal last year, first foal i've ever bred in 30 odd years of owning horses, every stage of the pregnancy was amazing but yes feeling them move is brilliant, it's even better when they are born and you watch them grow in character and size ever step of the way, enjoy your friends mare with her

Sorry to hijack your thread, but the most exciting thing is to feel numerous (turned out to be 8) puppies all kicking at once in my labradors tum!

Foals are amazing, and how they stay folded up for so long, get born and then stand up and walk totally amazes me.

Foals, Puppies, Kittens, Babies they are all little miracles and such fun

I prefer Foals although will only ever have the one who is currently a huge hairy Filly but it was a journey I will never forget

Our foal was boring. I saw him kick only once and convinced myself it was either going to be still born or was a phantom pregnancy because of the lack of movement...until the foxy madam popped him out early one morning after showing NO signs at all of dropping that night at last checks about 1am!

He made up for being boring in mum for being a little monkey now he's here!
