I've had my 6m Welsh D colt a month now. He was wormed with Equimax around the middle of October, well before he arrived here. I'm with Intelligent Worming for my other two so as a matter of course I sent a poo sample off to be able to add William to the programme and today I got his count back as "no eggs seen". I'm a little shocked and baffled if I'm honest as I always thought that young horses were MORE prone to worms. Without getting too graphic, I supplied a "broad spectrum" sample too, ie, I took bits from different areas.

Can anyone tell me, is William's low result unusual??? Thanks

I have had low/clear counts on two of my foals/yearlings. However, when I worm counted again one of them had a medium count.
