Has anyone any experience of folliculitis?? I bought a horse 2 years ago with the condition and after treating with a couple of rounds of oral antibiotics, it seemed to clear up. However, it has flared up a little again. My vet gave me some 'dermatitis ' cream which he told me to 'keep slapping on '! He seems reluctant to prescribe oral antibiotics again. I do feel that my vet isn't taking it too seriously but I think it's a little sore sometimes so want to get it sorted! I'm religious about washing the horse's back off after work and he has a clean numnah on every day (which is fully breathable). Any help much appreciated ?
