If you use a product like Alphabute for example which has no but or devils claw in it and can be used for a one time only or continually, how long would it take to be out of the system?

I only ask as i need a temporary product until my vet does what he needs to and obviously i wouldn't want her 'buted' up in which ever way when he comes.

Hi, Sorry if this sounds insensitive. Is your horse to be pts? If so Im pretty certain it wouldn't matter is a "no bute" product was given? I may be wrong (or have the total wrong end of the stick!)
I use Buteless by Equine America continuously and its very good.
Hope you and your horse are ok xx

If you feed any kind of anti inflammatory, even the "natural" ones, it is obviously going to mask any inflammation the pony may have, and will effect any evaluation the vet does.

None of the "natraceuticals" are fast acting, and usually have a build up period of 1-2 weeks before they are in full effect, so are more suited to long term use than a one off.

Can you not get the vet to come out sooner if your pony is uncomfortable?

Horse is def not being pts! My vet is on leave and back in two weeks i'd rather wait for him as he has dealt with her issues from day one and She isn't an emergency case.
I did Think that about anything you give them but Alphabute claims to act in two hours but could just be speil?
