Congratulations! So sorry to hear about your mare though, that must have been heart wrenching having to make the decision after the years of effort you had put in. I was hoping you were going to get better news Still, you gave her a chance and she had a good life (not all horses are quite as fortunate as we all know).
I have a conn x TB, bought him as a 4 yo - no idea on his breeding as that wasn't something we even thought about back in those days (he was a gelding, it's sort of irrelevant!) Wish I had known now though. On paper though, although he passed the vetting he certainly does not have perfect conformation by any strength of the imagination! However, I wanted him back then, I'd never seen a horse his colour (he's a very golden dun). He is 22 now and still going strong and has a fab 'personality'. I am definitely a conn x TB fan!
I hope your colt has arrived safely, like eveyone has already commented l wish you all the best after what uou've been though. I love palominos my first pony (nf) was one & he was & will always be my best friend. Its 11 years since he passed away & l ended up with a ISH who's a chestnut mare she has her moments & l wouldn't swap her she was injured afew years ago & she was left unridden for a couple of years until this spring. Shes been expensive but couldn't part with her as shes family. I've also got another nf palomino had her for 2 years now. & hppe to break her in next spring. Enjoy getting to know your boy & have years of happiness & enjoy every activity you do
