Follow up on terrible travelling post!!

Well if any of you remember, I had an awful first trip of the year 10 days ago.... culminating in one lost shoe, sweaty horse and very sad owner.

So I bought the full width breast bar and today we tried again..... Yay, sucess. Merlin travelled without a hitch, no banging, no cornering at 5mph and no lost shoes etc.

We seem to have cracked it. We also went for a brilliant ride round Frensham Common..... and I could stop!!!!!

Sand sand sand as far as the eye can see (which was miles and miles) I am used to rocks rocks and a few bits of gravel!!!

Thanks to Kate who met up with me and showed me how nice it is there!!!!

So glad it worked for you! Years ago it worked for me too! It is just hard to believe that it can work! I think people who have horses falling over think that they need the partition to hold them up but in fact the partition is stopping them. Hopefully your horse will be much happier to go out in the box from now on. When i bought my new trailer i bought the full width breast and breech bars as extras! Havent needed them yet but if i do i am all set to go!

Apologies in advance for asking a really dim question, but what are breech bars.

Breast bars go across the front of the horse and breech bars across the back.

(To stop the horse backing out if you lower the back ramp)

No stopping you now then

It looks lovely. I used to live near Frensham, but didn't have a horse then. Now I know what I was missing.
