Following from gingermares post - treating cuts?

Was wondering about this yesterday, because neddy has rolled on some stones in the field and got a few scrapes.

For little cuts and scrapes I dont usually put anything on them, just cold hose to clean and bring down any swelling. Yesterday, however, I put some Dermoline on, just to protect them from the flies and dust (he was going back out in the field).

I also didn't ride, because I know little scrapes on me sometimes sting like hell, and I was also worried about attracting flies if he got sweaty. Planning on riding today though.

What does everybody else do with little cuts and scrapes?

Hibiscrub to clean and then leave open to the air

Small cuts and grazes - diluted iodine or hibiscrub solution on cotton wool, then an antiseptic cream on top to keep flies out. I only wouldn't ride if the sores were in the saddle/bridle area.

Hia, hibiscrub it and then use this stuff called CAMROSA ointment. You cant use it with anything else but it is good stuff. get well soon xx
