Yes please! I want to see how it works if that makes sense. How much everyone follows their colours, ie do you just wear coloured top & hat silk or do you have matching numnahs too/ boot tape too.

My advice would be do not wast money on having stars etc on the body of your sweat/rugby shirt as at the end of the day your number bid covers them up, same goes for your body protector.

I had my RP bodyprotector made up in navy, beige and pale pink hoops (special order as not standard), bit of a waste really as you do not get the full effect. It is better if I wear my matching rugger shirt under as the arms give the effect but often it is too hot! My hat is navy with pale pink stars and I have just added a pale pink pom pom.

I used to have navy with pale pink stars on my grey and it looked great!! had a navy saddle cloth with pink writing as well!! Go to Treehouse Xc colours they are fab!

If I knew how to do it I would send you a piccy!!!

Numnahs tend to be plain white for dressage, white with navy piping for sj and I use navy velvet for xc, guess the navy ties in with the navy of my hat. Tend to use blue tape for boots/bandages also.

On thinking about it I am a bit sad really!

Agree with MrsT, no point having any design on your body as you won't see it. Normally I just wear my stock shirt or a long sleeved black/white shirt under my body protector which is black and yellow.
Heres what it looked like with my old grey mare (ignore my face its not attractive):

and this is what it looks like with my chestnut that I have now (though quite often I wear just a black hat silk but am planning on getting a new stripy one)

agree with everyone else - go for funky sleeves and hat cover and forget about anything that might go under a bib

i got my colours from Miranda Theobald (my new ones that is) and my old hat cover came from DarkHorse and ive also had colours from Treehouse racing

I see what you mean! Thanks! I might just get a Navy Polo neck and have 3 small stars embroidered onto the lower sleeves so they can be seen below my shoulder pads, then just get a Navy hat silk with pink stars and a pom pom because I love them!! What colour jods do you wear?

This is me in my old colours (before i even knew you had to have a BP up to a 'standard' so wasn't wearing one

WOW! Thats a big fence to be jumping without a BP. How long ago was that? Your Red/ Green looks very smart- especially on the very dark bay. Can I ask what level those pics are at?

The first one was taken in '99 and was a JRN, and the other two were taken this year. The dark bay was in a PN 3day, and the bright bay was a PAVO 5yr old PN.
So only PN and Novice.

I would never wear short sleeves for xc after my sister did one day, fell off and got a stud in her arm. Almost lost the use of her arm, quite scary.

But wearing long sleeves isn't going to stop something like that happening!!
The worst sleeves can stop, is a nasty graze.

I know that she would have still be injured if she had been wearing a jumper but having long sleeves would have just given a little bit of protection.
