Visit site
to see a horse from an ad very kindly found by another forum user. It looked perfect in the ad and from the info on the phone but when we got there one hind leg had a huge curb and the horse was lame on that leg with very unorthodox movement.

Three hours both directions wasted though we did manage a visit to a Cadbury outlet shop on the way home so not a complete waste of time!

There just aren't any nice sound types 15hh upwards and at least 5yo looking for a quick sale to a good, experienced home.

Ouch! I'm going on a 4 hour round trip next Saturday so hope I dont come back reporting the same disappointment!

I'm suprised you were able to drive for that long with the snow!

I've found that there's less available now than in November. It's a nightmare! Just hope the one I've planned to see is suitable because my excitement is building up too much!

Ah shame, my sister's mate just traded her horse in for a younger model recently. he was about 15.1/15.2 and she evented him up to PN but he was a bit 'quirky' so needed an experienced rider. Really she'd had enough of his random strop throwing as she wanted to compete and not have the stress of not knowing what mood he was in! He was only 8 or 9 I think. Shame. She brought him on really well as he was quite a little sh*t when she bought him (she knew he had issues I believe).

Fingers crossed for you Laurenm01!

Looking for 15hh+, 5yo+ nice looking horse that needs schooling or competitive mileage or condition put on or tlc or combination of these. Just needs to be reasonably sane (son will ride him or her), no vices and no rearing!

You want to buy or loan?

I have a friend looking (ideally) for a loan home for hers for about 2 years or so with posibility to sell (she may decide to sell straight away anyway). She is a 4 yo mare though, been broken in but not really done much more than hacking out. She gone to one dressage event and an RC CR jumping and certainly has some pop in her and is v intelligent!

Sadly my friend had an 'incident' with her in her school - horse frightened my passing lapping lorry and after scooting round arena my friend found herself on the floor with a suspected broken thigh! Turned out not broken but has haematoma and so cannot ride for another 6 weeks or so. She has now thought maybe she doesn't have time to give her horse justice as she has two kids (one 3 yo) and thinks horse needs more turnout space and generally more getting out and about!

She has owned her since a foal and sent her away to be backed and has done a lot of work with her. She's by no means naughty just young and needs firm handling!

Whereabouts are you?

Well, this has done the basics, been out hacking etc but my friend lives near North Rigton (Harrogat way if you don't know it) right on a busy main road so it's not ideal.

Her mare is 16hh ish, conn x ID (dad is clover hill) so she is a nice little compact powerful mare. Think my friend has sort of realised that she doesn't have the time to do her justice an she needs to be going out and about to shows etc which again my friend doesn't have time to do.

I have another mate I am possibly going to show her to but not sure he wants a loan. My friend is going to be putting up ads I think anyway so she is actively going to be looking to loan/sell.

She's a nice little mare, just needs the work as, being connie x she's got an active brain!

And OP there is one on our yard 10yr old really nice black, well bred mare. Must be about 16hh or a bit smaller. Dont know much about her other than she is up for sale, has competed up to PN and discovery, has no vices but also no comp experience for a long time and can be sharp. Very bright mare from what i have seen of her ridden. If interested PM me and i will try to get more details/the owners number
