He was a total dude today again!!! Took him down road for a short hack ( minus a trip to the pigs ) & boy does he love being out & about... NO issue being out on his own - took everything in & even though he is a bit " looky " in the arena nothing phased him out on the road - now yard is up a v quiet country road & we met couple of cars ( thank you to the driver who responded to me putting hand up to ask him to stop & no thanks to car who literally was on top of us before stopping ) !

Went back up to arena which was fun, the derby course was still up & was fun schooling him around it - lol.. he had a good look at couple of things but all he does is look and then he cracks on. Actually once he is in front of the leg and you get him working he doesn't THINK about being " Looky " at all... Popped him over couple of fences & then my instructor jumped him around - he has some pop lol - took a giant leap over the watertray the first time & then popped over it again like he had been jumping them all his life - hes the type of horse that once he has seen something once its not an issue..

He definatly loves the yard - he was loving being lavished with attention from all the kids this morning - we had a " moment" where he got away from the person who was holding him while I was hosing him down & he legged it to try to get into the stable he had been in yesterday for couple of hours!!

SOOOOOO - DRUMROLL :p

Pending successful vetting he will be the new addition

For those of you who didn't see the pic last night - Here he is meeting my mare for the first time last night:)

( know full well grackle too low but it was the bridle that came with him & it couldnt go any higher - will be getting a plain bridle with NO grackle for him - he doesn't need it I don't think )

Very true Polos Mum - for a strange environment he acted as if he had been there ages & THAT is what I needed... Feel super safe on him - will take a while to get used to the pony like choppy trot though - polar opposite of my mare lol...

Great news - good horses are good no matter what you ask of them !!

Thanks - am still on cloud 9! Emotionally drained lol but he is the type of horse that would never be advertised - he is worth his weight in gold & will do my jumping confidence the world of good which will help me with my 5yo.

Brilliant! Fingers crossed for you for the vetting!
