following on from a few comments on another thread, any one else big chested?

I wear two (together) one normal, minimizer underwired, and on top of that, an impact sports bra. One alone would be useless, but the two together are very good, and I can even do sitting trot!

I use these as well.

I'm a 34HH, 5'2'' & I've tried all the sports bras available from Bravissimo. I found that most of them were rubbish in the 'jumping up & down' movement test & also give the mono boob shape, which I hate. The above (Freya active underwired bra) passes the test on both fronts, my boobs stay where they should be & I actually have 2 of them.

They work for me.

Anyone else find that when jumping you have to stick your bum out so much more, just to counterbalance your boobs? Or is that just my bad technique? Ialso have to work really hard to look forward & keep my chin up. Must be all those years of looking down & rounding my shoulders so as to 'disguise' my chest. Big boobs certainly don't help my riding position at all.

I'm 34DD and a runner: finding the right one has been difficult! I have two that I rely on: the rest are instruments of torture that live at the bottom of my sock drawer. One is a £25 Shock Absorber impact level 4 with a racer back (I'll find you the model on amazon if you're interested). The other one is from M&S: cost £5 in the sale (was about £12-15 full price I think) and not only is it comfy, it's attractive too! Big bonus being able to try it on as well.

I absolutely advise against USA Pro though (but that may be because I bought it online, and despite saying it's my size on it, it definitely doesn't fit)!

My main problem is that I HAVE to have underwires, however much they ad's prattle about 'shock absorption' in the non-wired ones I find them ineffective and they squish everything uncomfortably. Idealy 3/4 clips not 2 and a broad back strap is another must.

Unfortunately unless I buy the expensive ones I find the underwires dig in so it has to be the 30 quid ones.

i am 34DD size 10. i have bog standard sports bra not flattering but does the trick.
it really annoys me with clothing though, just recently brought show shirt in my size but was tight across chest!!! i dont want to have to buy bigger sizes just cos my chest is bigger cos then i look like i am wearing my dads shirt! lol. so mum stitched on some poppers and with the sports bra it fit nice. result!!!
do wish sometimes they werent there but think i would moan more if that was the case!!!;)

When a friend di her stage 2 years ago they failed her saying she was top heavy. True - she's a 32F and size 10. We made her retake it with a swimming costume over her bra, and it worked fantastically (albeit with a struggle to get to the loo when she was nervous!!)

I'm a 34F, and prefer underwire too. M&S do one with rubber on the shoulder straps - which keeps them in place. The only thing I like about my body protector is that it keeps everything still!

I don't like the Shock Absorber ones as they seem to give the "mono boob" look!
I wear the Freya Active Non-Wired Sports Bra (36FF) (google it) - comfy, and makes me look a size or two smaller, and NO bouncing about.

I'm an F and I have one of these too, it is comfy and gives a reasonable shape too. No mono-boob look!

Do get properly fitted and have a good jump around. Your sports bra needs to be really snug (that is how it works) so get one that feels too small. The back should only just fasten on the loosest hook when you buy it, you will need to tighten it when you have worn it in a bit. The cups should be big enough to fit all of your boobs into without any bulging but still compress them.

Try several styles and makes to get a good one.

Do not wear underwired bras to ride in, they can cause injuries in a fall.

Have to say this is one of the only things that works for me although may now have to try the shock absorber level 4 you've all been raving about....

Ladies,

Can I recommend a fool proof boob holder? ;) A BODY PROTECTER, specifically a race safe BP as the lacing at the sides allows for fuller figures.

I no longer have over - the - shoulder - boulder - holder type underwear clogging up the chest of drawers.

Fail!

Never wear mine....went put it on the other week....did it up...then......PING! Zipper snapped off and popped open.

Wait.... WHAT? They failed her in a riding test because she had big boobs?

I have the shockabsorber level four one for + size or what ever they call us. And like clippy says I have a size too small. Works ok for me. Is hideous to look at though. Forget having a nice one which looks like a gym top. This looks like scaffolding!

ugly or what?!

Feeling the pain :( Have 36EE and use this one http://www.figleaves.com/uk/product.asp?product_id=BB-B4490
Only thing that keeps them put!
Have found the racer back ones much better over the years then normal backs and long ago came to the conclusion that big boobs means pretty is only going to be an option in the bedroom-for doing stuff the scaffolding is a must!

Thank god I am not the only one. I am a 38E and makes me very self conscious when riding, so I actually spend more time worrying what my boobs are doing than on my riding. Which then makes me tense. fine if no one around. But hate an audience.

Tried the Panache bra at Less Bounce.com which works quite well, but think I may need to go to a smaller size to keep these bad boys under control.

I know someone else who swears by the Doreen having been given some "cast offs" by her mother. Reckons they are ultra supportive and comfy too. Not sure I could bring my self to buy one though, or let my husband see it. EVER.
