Following on from below...how do I find a digital pulse?

Can someone tell me how to find a digital pulse please? Its my first spring with new pony and his weight is looking good after the winter on only a scrap of hay and no rug. Think I am definately going to need to keep an eye on him and I have a grazing muzzle and weigh tape at the ready!
 
Good question, I don't know either as it is my first spring with my new (share) pony too. Even though she is a share I would like to know so I can check too! :)

Also, is your user name talking about you or the pony? My share pony is nicknamed EllieBellie too, although we have had to work quite hard to keep weight on her this winter!!
 
Good link. I was shown by my last vet how to take the pulse, but she was squeezing with her thumb, too. I pointed out that she would feel her own pulse and she was adamant that she wouldn't. Umm...

I'm still **** at it, though...

Haha...my old loan horse was called Ellie and when I first got her she has a big post pregnancy belly, hence the name Ellie Belly. My new boy is called Bentley, haven't given him a fatty nickname yet, hope I don't have too, watching his weight is becoming a bit of an obsession of mine!
