Got to the yard this morning to find someone has removed Winnie's rug and put it outside my other horses stable in the wet on the floor. No phone call or note to say who did this or why they did it, I told my mum to leave turnout rugs on last night as she's not sure what to do with them, I am FURIOUS about this and wan't to leave the yard asap but I can't due to finances!

I'd be fuming! Can you speak with the YO and see if you can find out anything? Seems like a very stupid thing to do, what right did whoever did it think they had going into YOUR stable with YOUR horse when she clearly had her rug left on for a reason! Hope you get to the bottom of it and whoever did it gets a very stern talking to! They could have been trying to do the right thing, but it would have been polite to have atleast informed you first!

I still find your shouting rude and therefore if you are as rude as you are on here in real life then must assume that whoever did remove your horse's rug was not doing it to help you.

What a horrid thing to say! The OP is just angry at what's happened, she's not being deliberately rude, if I was in her position I'd be feeling the same way

Ha! Come... join me behind the wall...

*passes a crash hat and half eaten sandwich!

thanks *takes dustbin lid as protection*

I have an agreement with the farmer/yard owner due to Winnie's 'situation' so will be going no where, and he will hit the roof this eve when i tell him someone has been in with my pregnant mare without my permission. I am simply baffled as to why it was taken out of my stable and left in the wet! when I find out who ot was they will be paying to have it cleaned.

OP., it could of been left on mares door and it could of blown or mare could of knocked it off, i think the answer here isto think a bit more logically:)

I don't know why I'm sticking my oar in but I need a break from staring at spreadsheets for a minute.

OP - it sucks that someone interfered with your pony (she is very cute, I've seen your pics), I would be livid too.

I've turned up at my yard to find headcollars and rugs lying in a puddle on the odd occasion. When I've mentioned it to the girls working there they've usually said "oh god i'm so sorry it wasn't raining when i put it down (rugs)" or looked at me blankly so we've deduced that the pony threw her own headcollar off the peg into a puddle (totally possible knowing my horse).

So the wet bit might have been a total accident but is making you even crosser as it enhances the perceived disrespect.

Good luck when you ask the person concerned - the calmer you are about it the more it will flummox her ;) deep breaths.....

It might have been someone trying to help, and if you stomp in all guns blazing the one thing you'll ensure is that no one will ever help you out again! Why not take a deep breath, find out the circumstances, then explode if justified?

Seriously, I can't be doing with people who stomp about the place witout knowing all the facts, calm down peoples. If you stay calm most of the time, losing your rag is REALLY effective too, because it's completely unexpected;)

And I'm not remotely bothered. Its not on to go interfering with my stuff and horses without telling me. simple. Win is also not the brightest spark in the bulb, No Way did she get her rug off.

If you say so, you must know her very well by now  You're another one who seems to have an awful lot of drama :D

I have often found one of my rugs lying somewhere totally done up and not on its owner, normally in the muddiest area of the field or peed on in the stable.

Is it possible your horse managed to get caught up in the rug and it was taken off and put on the door and either horse or wind knocked it down? I would also give the horse more credit than you seem to be,you may not think shes overly bright, maybe she just doesnt show her owner.........

Are you sure your mum didn't take it off trying to be 'helpful'?

I was going to suggest this too. Sometimes we do the wrong things hoping they are the right things, and as your mum is not horsey it can easily be done? She then may have just forgotten to put the rug away or replace it with another??

OP this superior, arogant attitude is getting peoples backs up.

I can understand why you'd be annoyed that someone has taken it upon themselves to de rug your horse, however, there is a chance said person genuinely thought it was the right thing to do.

Maybe if you tried to have a nice, calm conversation with your fellow liveries you'd get to the bottom of it. Flying off the handle, accusing people left, right and centre is just going to make you and your poor mare a target.

Life is a lot more pleasant if you can learn to rub along with people from different walks of life with views and opinions that may not be the same as yours. Part of growing into a well rounded pleasant human being.
