Yes - when Andy has a bad tummy I cook plain rice for him and sometimes he has natural yoghurt mixed into his feed but thats it.

No - he doesn't touch food at all unless it's in his bowl

Dont have a problem with scraps as a treat now and then(as long as there is nothing they shouldnt be eating in there) it's the people who BUY Mcdonalds and other crap for the dog that annoy me :s

Plate licking is a big no no!

Nope, partly because were not allowed because of guide dogs, partly because, having 'trained' guide dogs since i was 4, grown up to hate it when dogs have bad manners (sorry anybody!)
To train them we give them cheese, and they've all learnt to come to the fridge whenever we open the door, but we dont give them food form the table or let them lick our plates out
Oh we give them grapes sometimes too, other than that dog food
Occasionally they lick out a yogurt pot as a treat though, depending on how cute thier looking!

as we don't have a flesh collection our drag hounds are fed swill from the hot plates from the academy kitchens

no plate lickers though

Never gets to lick plates at home, think he does at one of the other people he stays with if we're on hols. Does get the odd leftover as a treat, but not if he begs. Also stole loads of cheese once!

My dogs tends to get a bit of gravy from the sunday roast (sundays only) in with her biscuits.
She also gets a piece of cheese after something she finds stressfull- eg, a bath!
I know dairy is bad for dogs- but my dog is 15 years old and still fit as a fiddle, she has always has cheese as a treat, she goes mad for it!
My mum was always very strict about not giving her left overs. However, the odd mouthfull when my mum isnt looking isnt going to kill her!

Did you know grapes are poisionous for dogs? Sorry - don't mean to interfere... but lots of people don't realise...

some info here

or this:

Raisins and grapes
An increasing number of cases have been seen of raisin and grape poisoning in dogs. From available evidence, as little as seven raisins or grapes can be toxic. If you suspect your dog has eaten raisins or grapes, get him to the vet straight away. Signs of toxicity including vomiting, food refusal, diarrhoea and lethargy. Untreated, a dog will develop acute kidney (renal) failure and die.

Yes, he loves fruit !

He's on a low fat diet so he only gets to lick our plates if our brekkie/dinner was suitable for him !
