He's arrived and thanks for all your support - he travelled cool as a cucumber, and my other lot haven't been bothered at all - in fact Ella, my lovely big mare is particularly taken with him, but he'll be in a separate paddock for a while until he is well and truly settled.
Anyway, here he is - if you don't like huge & hairy, look away now.

What a wonderful good looking chap - very nice.Where did you find him and how old is he - just being nosey

He would make a lovely pair with Andy's Farra - how big he is, I need at least 17 - 17.2 clyde of that colouring to do pairs with as I am hoping to show Farra later when she has filled out and is less gawky and green.

I notice that you have let him get wet I hope he doesnt go and shrink on you so that you end up with a 14.3 Clydesdale is he under guarantee?

Lol I have the shrunken version of him.Your new boy is gorgeous.

Thank you all! He is rather splendid is he not? He will be a happy hacker and I hope to do some pleasure rides with him once he is settled. He is very, very laid back to ride

which suits me perfectly.

Theresa - I just happened to see him advertised and he was literally 20 mins away from me, so too good an opportunity to miss, especially as Ella is a bit iffy due to her arthritis. So she will become a lady of leisure for the time being and keep the boys in order.

He is 17.3 and is 11 years old, was born in Ireland and then shipped to Scotland as a 4 or 5 year old. All I need now for him is a stable name. Think I will start a separate post to find him a new name.

he's really really lovely. Glad you got him safely... now you can relax and enjoy!!!!
have yerself a glass of wine.....
And best of luck with him. xx
