Following on from Is it possible ? ...

My post a few days back , I asked if it was possible to teach a child to walk and trot for balmoral ( lead rein class) ... My neice has never rode a pony let alone sit on one .

As Tiarnan will be too old to do this class , I have decided to give my sisters little girl a go . Brought her out and she loved it, So we are going to practise practise practise , and she how it goes .

Heres a few pics , she rode him herself , turned and stopped him and got him walking on , Tommy is such a great little pony he took great care of her bless him .
Please note this little girl has never sat on a pony before , I think she did really well

I think kids esp the younger ones do learn quickly, esp if they have a gd pony to show them the ropes. Good luck!!

Wish i had a little pony like yours for my boy to learn to ride on.

He has a go on sus today at the beach (sus is a 15.2 ex racehorse) and loves it he has ridden him before but its not ideal lol

My daughter was cantering at her 5th lesson aged 4.
Kids are incredible on ponies-put the fear of god into you though! Watch it...Balmoral next month........Badminton after!!

Definitley , She seemed so excited , when I came to pick her up , Apparently she had been talking about it all morning and was looking out the window waiting for me

I think shes got a good little seat, shes so tiny , she will be 5 in april , shes not the height of 2 diasys bless her .
