Sorry, I know people hate these.....but following on from the post about how much your horses have cost you over the years to buy....I am nosey and although not looking to buy at the mo I have friends both selling and buying at the moment and it got me wondering how much my lad is worth now, mainly as it would be interesting to know what value I have added!! He is not, and hopefully never will be, for sale btw!
He is a 15hh bay 10yr old gelding, really really pretty (despite being a boy!)
a genuinely good allrounder, jumping confidently XC up to 3', SJ competing successfully at 3'3, done some BSJA but only twice as I don't have the time/money! will be doing BE and BD on tickets in the next year (just cos I want to be able to say I've done all three!), pretty capable at novice level dressage and scope/paces to go further, well put together, a complete gentleman to do but a great fun hack and will turn a hoof to whatever (endurance, le trec, showing), snaffle mouth at all times, no ongoing medical problems or hang-ups, a good do-er to say the least....
What would you guys say he would be worth these days?
