..I actually had a good lesson! :D Woke up this morning feeling very groggy and sore, unable to raise my left arm above my head. But got down to the stables to give the boy a groom and tack up, where I saw the people who helped me yesterday who described me yesterday as being 'hysterical'
Anyway, hopped back on and we worked on flatwork today with my fab instructor :) We were working on a circle mostly to build up his balance as he's only a 4yo, and he was fab, didn't put a foot wrong, was very sympathetic seeing as I was still a bit sore. Was still a bit spooky down the end I fell off yesterday and had a look at the grass strimmer thing going on beside the school, but we took it slowly and it was fab! Cue a very sweaty pone afterwards though :D
If anyone could give me any good tips for helping me sit back on my bum and keeping my leg forward instead of it sliding back, making me tip forwards, I would gladly appreciate it! Thanks for reading this far through my drivel :D Just very proud! I guess it's a good thing I don't remember anything from the fall, means I wasn't so nervous getting back on! xx

Must of missed your other post, sorry to hear you took a swift exit but glad you have licked the wounds, back on board and enjoying a positive lesson, keep smiling, youngsters are fun fun fun!

*coughs… then smiles innocently*

Oh they are, aren't they :p He behaved beautifully today though, a bit of a muddle with canter on the left rein but he was perfect by the end!
My fall wasn't too bad, just bruising and concussion where I had a bit of memory loss :o He did a bit of a spook and then spooked again at me hanging off the side so I was deposited with a belly flop on the floor. I apparently then promptly jumped up and said 'WOOOAHHH **** DEJA VU!!' before being made to sit on the mounting block, then jumping up again and getting back on, then somehow apparently making it back to my stable to untack etc. The only part I remember was saying the deja vu bit, sitting on the mounting block and then finding myself outside my stable where I asked what day it was, what had happened, how long I'd had Casper, and all sorts of bizarre questions! I also apparently phoned my mum to say I'd fallen off, and then 2 mins later called again to same thing, before going into hysterics and forgetting everything again so asked what had happened over and over like a parrot! Then I remember being given a drink and sanity returned with a charming headache :p Nothing can stop be hopping aboard my youngster - he's so brilliant bless him! xx

Oh dear, not just a tumble really then, please tell me you have been to the docs, with memory loss and a headache to boot you really need to checked out to be on the safe side, how's the hat?

Sorry to sound like an over protective mother hen but I've seen what falls like this can do, even when you think you're ok, days later you can end up in hospital with a serious injury to the head.

So get yourself off if not. :)

Kenzo - I was checked out by my parents who luckily are doctors! They agreed it was just a concussion but did watch me very closely, a right pain as it took me forever to persuade them I was fine to have a shower  And hat looked a bit bumped and scraped, so switched to my spare which I luckily had lying around ;) Time to shop for a new one methinks! Still being watched closely though, am taking it easy while not riding! And no worries about sounding over-protective, you certainly weren't being! It's nice to have someone a bit concerned, my parents were very relaxed about the whole thing when they realised I was okay :p

marydoll - thank you! It feels good to be up and running! Having sustained a broken arm last time I fell off, I was rather anxious over whether or not I'd be back in action anytime soon! 3 months with no riding is horrible, and I don't plan on doing that again :D xx
